Sony considering PC games launcher for PS titles
Sony could soon release its standalone launcher on PC.
Following the launch of Spider-Man Remastered on PC, references to a “PlayStation PC Launcher” were found in the game files. An earlier report by Video Game Chronicle claims that Sony might integrate the PlayStation Network support into its PC games.
This would allow Sony to convert the PC player base into PlayStation account users and could bring new features like cross-buy and PSN integration.
However, Sony does not have anything official to announce yet. Possibilities are, that Sony will still sell its games through Steam.
In short, Sony tries to be going all-in on PC gaming. They have recently announced their own line of PC gaming headsets and monitors.
Alongside Spider-Man Remastered, Sony has a few other games on PC. God Of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Days Gone.
