Snoop Dogg joins esports organization FaZe Clan
Snoop Dogg is known around the world for his contributions to the music industry, as he has proven to be a rather successful rapper throughout his career that has gone on to make millions of dollars.
Indeed, he has managed to create a rather large brand for himself on the back of his achievements, which has seen the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show performer get involved in a number of different ventures across a variety of entertainment sectors.
Snoop has managed to have cameos in TV shows and films, whilst he has also shown that he has a key interest in gaming as he will semi-regularly stream on his Twitch channel, although we are yet to see him steaming a visit at Wish Casinos but perhaps it is only a matter of time given his latest venture.
Snoop Dogg involved in esports
NME has detailed in a report on their website that Snoop Dogg has decided to join FaZe Clan, which is an organization that is situated within the esports and entertainment industry.
It has been revealed that the iconic rapper will be joining the company’s board of directors once the company goes public in the near future, with it thought to be at some point in this year. That is not the only role that he will have, though.
It is also understood that he will co-create content for the organization, whilst he will also participate in key business initiatives, as well as launch merchandise with the brand under the name “Faze Snoop”.
There may be some questioning why Snoop may have decided to get involved with an esports business, however it seems that his kids have had a major role in making him join Faze Clan. The rapper revealed that his son, Cordell, had influenced him as he recognized how the brand aligned with the youth of the world today.
FaZe Clan released a video on their Twitter account confirming the news on March 7, 2022.
What impact could Snoop have on the brand?
Indeed, there are a number of potential positive impacts of getting someone like Snoop Dogg on board, despite already being an incredibly successful esports brand and organization.
The group has already been able to become 32-time champions in its history, however there could be a whole lot of new success to be experienced with Snoop ‘Doggy’ Dogg on board.
Firstly, the amount of revenue that the brand is able to achieve will likely increase and grow significantly as the addition of the rapper will likely help the esports brand to become accessible to an entirely new audience due to the following and reputation of the Long Beach, Californian native.
Furthermore, the brand will achieve a greater deal of exposure in the future, which could increase the amount of success they have, whilst potential new ideas could be brought to the market that only the rapper has that others may not necessarily think of.
Final Thoughts
FaZe Clan’s decision to bring Snoop Dogg in certainly looks as though it could provide a number of benefits to the organization in the future and set them up for further success. Whilst time will tell if it proves to be a hit, there will not be many that will bet against it from happening.
