Microsoft reveals January Game Pass lineup
Following a strong showing in 2022, Microsoft has been relatively quiet when it comes to new Xbox Game Pass titles in 2023. But the company has finally revealed the games for this month, and they are underwhelming.
In a blog post, Megan Spurr, the Community Lead for Xbox Game Pass, announced:
“Welcome to 2023, Game Pass friends! We’re starting off the year with some iconic franchises from beloved Japanese developers whose games will soon be landing with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. For now, let’s start juicing up our controllers and get our pre-install on; it’s time to get to the games!”
Here are the games that will be added to the service this month:
- Persona 3 Portable (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 19
- Persona 4 Golden (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 19
- Monster Hunter Rise (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 20
All three of these games offer extensive gameplay, but it is noteworthy that only 3 titles are being added this month. Additionally, these games were previously announced as coming to Game Pass, so their inclusion is not surprising. However, these games are all definitely worth playing and will keep you engaged for a long time.
Similar to every month, a few games will also be removed from the service this month (on the 15th), specifically:
- Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
- Nobody Saves The World
- Pupperazzi
- The Anacrusis (Game Preview)
- We Happy Few
- Windjammers 2
