Call of Duty: Over 400 million copies sold

The Call of Duty franchise has sold over 400 million copies since 2003.

The franchise continues to be one of the best selling every single year, with Activision now confirming that more than 400 million premium games have been sold since the original COD launched in October of 2003.

According to the team, “we also crossed another major milestone across the franchise: over 400 Million Call of Duty premium games have been sold since the very first Call of Duty launched back in October 2003, to the franchise’s most recent release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in November 2020.”

Activision has not revealed a breakdown of sales by individual title or brand, but it is believed that the ‘Black Ops’ and ‘Modern Warfare’ brands the most successful among others.

Activision says over 400 million copies of premium Call of Duty games have been sold since the franchise’s first release in 2003.
