It’s been a long road—ten years, to be exact—but the wait is finally coming to an end. Lost Soul Aside, the ambitious action RPG that began life as a one-man project back in 2014, has officially gone Gold and is locked in for its long-awaited release on August 29, 2025.

Originally inspired by the stylish visuals of Final Fantasy Versus XIII (later FFXV), Lost Soul Aside quickly caught the attention of fans with its flashy, high-octane combat and stunning visuals. Over the years, the project evolved into something of a legend—many wondered if it would ever see the light of day. But now, after a decade of anticipation and speculation, it’s finally happening.

Developer Ultizero Games took to WeChat (translated and shared by industry insider Wario64) to share the exciting update with fans:

“Dear superpowers, thank you for the long wait! Lost Soul has completed all development content and will be released on August 29, 2025, as scheduled! Kazir and Arena’s adventure is about to begin – mysterious powers and hidden truths await your exploration and discovery.”

The message continues with a heartfelt promise from the team:

“The team is currently working diligently on final optimizations and testing to ensure every psychic has the most seamless gaming experience possible. Thank you all for your continued anticipation and trust. We will meet on August 29 to embark on a journey of destiny intertwined with souls!”

For those unfamiliar, “Going Gold” means the game’s final version has been completed and submitted for manufacturing and digital release. This is the last major milestone before launch, signaling that the base game is ready to be played—barring any day-one patches, of course.

Given how long Lost Soul Aside has been in development—and how passionate its fanbase has remained—expectations are sky-high. But with the game finally ready to drop, we won’t have to wait much longer to see if it lives up to the dream.
