“Spider-Man 2” Embraces Inclusivity: Enhanced Accessibility Options Unveiled
In recent years, game studios have intensified their efforts to enhance accessibility, catering to a diverse range of players.
Insomniac Games, who are gearing up for the upcoming release of Spider-Man 2 in October, has unveiled a host of fresh accessibility features.
This trend stems from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II in 2020, which introduced over 60 inclusive options spanning visual, auditory, and other aspects.

Numerous PlayStation studios, like Insomniac Games, have since embraced this ethos, exemplified by Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales.
Building upon existing features such as QTE auto complete, enhanced auto aim, and accessibility vibration, Insomniac’s team has raised the bar even higher.
Noteworthy additions include screen reader support for menus, on-screen captions with audio descriptions for cinematics, and gameplay speed adjustment (70%, 50%, or 30% of regular speed).
These innovations, alongside previous options, will collectively offer more than 60 ways to tailor the gaming experience when Spider-Man 2 debuts on October 20th.
