After September, players will no longer be able to buy Marvel’s Avengers
Despite mixed reviews at launch, it’s surprising to see Marvel’s Avengers being delisted and no longer available for purchase.
In a surprise blog post, the development team revealed that Marvel’s Avengers will be discontinued and will no longer receive updates.
“After two-and-a-half years and introducing twelve of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, following Update 2.8 on March 31, 2023, we will no longer add new content or features to Marvel’s Avengers. All official support for the game will end on September 30, 2023.”
The game will no longer receive major new updates, as update 2.8 will be the final update and it will only include “final balance updates.”
As compensation, all cosmetic content released since the game’s launch will be made available for free in the final patch 2.8, set to go live at the end of March.
Players will still be able to access and play both multiplayer and single player modes, at least for the foreseeable future.
